Boxing Day - didn't get off to the best of starts. Our flight was at 7am (grim I know) and so we had to be up at 4am and catch the bus to the airport at 4.30am...the next thing I knew I was being woken up by HMV Claire to kindly tell us we had slept in and it was 5.15am...don't think I've ever moved so fast in my life!! Thankfully we had packed the majority of our stuff the night before so it was a case of a quick wash, chuck whatever we had lying around in the bag, very quick goodbye which in a way was good so not too many tears (or at least not until we were in the taxi) as the night before was very very teary - saying goodbye to Emma was horrible as I didn't no when I would see her again so lots of tears from us both!
We got to the airport at 6.10am and was greeted by the worls longest and disorganised que! Panic sprung to mind as I knew I couldnt really afford another flight...luckily we managed to check in our bags by 6.35am and then it was a race to the terminal we made it on time and by a slight chance of luck our flight was delayed by half an hour - thank god or not entirely sure what we would have done!
The flight seemed to take forever to pass and once we were in Perth we had to circle around in the air a few times due to it being too windy to land - fantastic, got a good look of the city from the sky though (3 times)! We eventually landed and David and Craig came to pick us up and give jill a "special tour" of the city, we went to Kings Park which was lovely as always, amazing views and it was roasting hot, and then we went to Craigs and chilled by his pool and his mum put out food for us - the worlds best ham - reminded me of home a little bit :)
Boxing day is also Jill's birthday so night time was celebrated by a lot of drinks and pizza at Davids (this was where we were staying - thank you!) and then we all went out - firs stop was Cottesloe and then into Freo to the Clink, it was a good last night out :) The next day was spent feeling a little sorry for ourselves and me and craig headed to the beahc and then his pool! Ended the night with a chinese which wasn't the best idea considering I was going to Thailand the following day...it was still good though :D!!
I had finally finished packing, checked my emails and saw "ATTENTION: FLIGHT DELAY"...BY 6 HOURS FANTASTIC!! I wouldnt have been too bothered but It meant having to sort out our connecting flight to Bangkok from KL and other things! Eventually got it sorted...
Saying my goodbyes was not so good the next day, I never like goodbyes but especially hated this one!!
