Having a dilemma moment, shall I wash my clothes by my hand or just put it in self service washing machine, or even give it to reception to get someone do it for me for 40 yuan... Of course I gave it to the reception as it would be ready by 8 tonight. Me, Asher and Dominic decided to go and explore the World Expo Building (as you can see the picture above). It was very interesting to look but there is not much of things to do as it was already closed. We wanted to see a buddha temple, so we went to a place called luximen.. Unfortunately the Temple was closed! Then we realised that we are standing on very poor street, so we went along the street to explore their way of living. It was fantastic experience to see a completely different scene. On one street it even has local antiques Market which is filled with old coins, statues, golds, Buddha necklace, arts and Mao! They are indeed very proud of their items, most of them doesn't even want to sell it. It was interesting to see lots of people spend time at outside rather than inside. I even played badminton with old Chinese women in middle of street with people walking past us and bike whizzed between us! I won't share who won! But it was also very upsetting experience to see how poor they are. Inside their house, it doesn't even have light, they use ladder instead of stair, hard folding chair instead of sofa, sink at outside sharing with neighbour, between building filled with hanged clothes to dry. It was very strange to see a such poor building with very modern skyscrapers behind them. It time for us to return hostel. Dominic and Asher persuaded me to man up and talk to girl who was sitting next to us, and I did.. She is from Kazakhstan who is studying in university in Xi'an. She was really lovely :) we chatted for hours. I realised over 8 days in China, I have met lots of peoples from different counties - Sweden, English, China, Slovakia, Holland, Canada, America and Kazakhstan. Now it our bed time! Good night for us and Good afternoon to England! :)
