Last night, just before we went to bed, we met two girl who live Leicester and Sheffield. We chatted, they are here to teach English to poor Chinese children to provide them a better education. We agreed to meet today. This morning we had a lie in as we haven't done that for long time! We then went to Yu Yuan Garden. We was so inspired with the old traditional Chinese building with it river between surrounding! I was sadden to see turtles being netted and placed in plastic bag along with other turtles to put on the stall next to the river. With a sign: 'Free the turtles for 20 yuan!'.. What a clever plan, freeing the turtle then put it back as routines! Lots of chinese kept staring at us, it because we are White and Deaf I suppose, we don't mind really. Chinese women asked me to have a photograph with her - bless her :) as our grandma advised us to go to the Bund in the night time and we did (as you can see the picture above, me with the skyscrapers). And we agreed with grandma that it was so beautiful with thousand of lights. You can see two completely different scene between the river, very modern with skyscrapers and very old building which most of them used to be bank, gentleman lounge and embassy. We really enjoyed the day. We came back to the hostel to chill and to research for our next adventure in Shenzhen which we will depart on this Thursday, travelling by train for 18 hours - bid me a good luck! We then as agreed met the two girl and chatted away lol. See you on my next blog! :)
