Allie's European Adventure
Hello all -
Sorry for not writing for awhile ... We have been busy. Rome in September is still very very hot (molto caldo!) so that isn't very fun. But at least it isn't raining. Our project is due Friday at 6PM and presentations are all day Saturday. The Italians have gone mad. We should be in producation at this point but they still want to change crucial design elements, we have all (not just my group) have kind of given up on them and are letting them do what they want. Oh well.
We started Italian class yesterday, the professor is really nice - and hopefully the class we be fun and full of useful information. I think it is going to be geared more towards practical living in italy things rather than conjugating verbs and what not. On our calendar there are days for like "the grocery store" and the "the restaurant" so that will be good. All my Italian professors are very nice. I have 2 Italian men and one Austrian women (who is also just as nice). We don't start formal studio classes till Monday because of the competition.
Last night, a bunch of us bought plane tickets to Brussels, Belgium. I am hoping it will be fun. We only have 2 Fridays off - so I wanted to go to more obscure countries (if you can call Belgium obscure), since we are going to Spain, Germany, and France on our big 10 day field trip. We are discussing going to Greece for our next friday off.
I guess thats all I have to report - Dad, I haven't seen Cheney, I didn't even know he was here. I'll let you know if I see him eating some Gelato on a street corner. I am excited to see you all in october! Chrissy and I are already coming up with a list of things we would like you to bring - like maple syrup and peanut butter haha. Kait, hope school is okay!
