Well London is making a liar out of Siobhan. Bright, sunny days and nippy but not ridiculously cold. Got into London at 6am and Siobhan and I crammed in as much sightseeing as we could. Started off in Oxford street and I was overwhelmed with how pretty it was. We walked to Buckingham Palace and then the war memorials. We went to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. We spent ages in Hamleys (toy store) and tried out the new Kinect (much to the amusement of other shoppers). We finished up with theLondon Bridge, Big Ben, Westminster and the Parliment building. The architecture over here is insanely beautiful, so much so that the pictures will not do it justice. We then got the train to Crawley and met up with Emma. By this stage my calf muscles were so sore from 6 weeks of inactivity that I was hobbling like an old woman (much to Emma and Siobhans amusement). Met their Aunty Brenda and had a lovely dinner, then struggled to stay awake until 8 and then gladly went to bed.
Got up early the next day and took the train to Brighton. Beautiful day and still water despite Siobhans claims that it would be miserable :P Went to the pier and got some candy and cinnamon doughnuts. Had a nice wander and then went to the pub for lunch. Hobbled home (by this point I was having a hard time getting up and down any form of stair) and went to Siobhan and Emmas relatives for a visit that night. Again it was a struggle to remain awake but I made until 9pm.
And today we are heading up to Coventry! So far England has welcomed me with open arms and I am very much enjoying it here. We will see if it last as there is cold weather incoming.
