So today we went to Warick Castle. My first castle!! The weather turned on us a little and it was very cold and there was lots of ice. But that didn't stop the fun. First up was the Dungeon Tour. The actors were very good and Siobhan and I got caught and screamed as a person jumped through the wall at us. We followed this with a trip up a long set of stairs to have a look at the surrounding countryside. You could see for miles and there was even a trebuchet (but it wasn't working. We then ambled our way through the main living areas (which were so opulent and in some cases beautiful and others a little overwhelming in detail) and were introduced into the sitting area as the Ambassadors for Australia . Here too there were actors wandering around and chatting in character.

Then it was off to wandering the grounds in search of a falconer. He had two beautiful birds to show us and I managed to show some skill with my camera and get a good couple of shots. Siobhan and I then managed to make our way into the Princess Tower thanks to Eily and had fun playing dress ups and getting our picture taken ;P

I'm sure there's a few things I've missed but all in all it was a good first castle to see!
