So the drive to Tampa was quite scenic. We drove up through the North of the Everglades through Alligator Alley. I only spotted one Alligator, but apparently they hibernate in Winter. Siobhan managed to pull out on the wrong side of the road at one of the rest points. There was a car on the other side of the road and they gave a big grin at Siobhan. We got in pretty early so we had a bit of a rest before Siobhan, Emma and I headed out to an ice hockey game. Tampa Bay Lightning vs Boston Bruins. Siobhan and Emma had layered up and brought gloves and scarves so i was a little worried that I would freeze. But it was actually warmer in the stadium than outside so I was quite comfortable. Next day it was off to Busche Gardens. Not a place I would recommend if your not into roller coasters. If you are then this is the place you have to visit. The roller coasters are huge and exciting. They have one the drops you at a 90 degree angle (i.e. straight down) twice and one that loops you upside down 7 times. There was the longest inverted roller coaster in the USA and they are building this one called the cheetah something that will propel you 0-60 miles/hour in 3 seconds 3 times. They haven't finished it yet but its so long. We were right next to one end and the other and was at least a mile off. But alas, I couldnt go on any. Just an incentive to come back! They did have animals though. We got to see chimps, gorillas, orangoutangs, white and orange tigers, rhinos, elephants ect. The tigers were really active. One of the white tigers kept coming up to the window and hoping up on the ledge and looking at people. It was so close! That was probably the highlight of my day. I also went on the rhino safari. Which was basically just 5 minutes going around in a jeep looking at animals.
