Something Ariane forgot to mention about our day trip and the donkies: that morning, walking down the 600 stairs, there were also donkies going up and down those same narrow stairs. It was a difficult task to avoid being trampled and avoid stepping in s***...but we succeeded...just barely. At one point, I had to jump up on this little rail type fence wall thing to avoid them! It was super scary.

Today was a pretty relaxed day...or it started out as one. Our ferry was five hours from Santorini to Athens...were we ended up getting ripped off by a cabbie. FU driver. The only thing I can think to try and not get to bitter is what goes around comes around. We tried to do the get him to put the meter on etc but no luck. Lesson: be more pushy.

It was quite the adventure to find our hostel too. The driver said he knew where it was but clearly didn't or didn't care to drop us off at the right place *too bad all the cab drivers couldn't be as good as the ones in Toronto ahha* But they were super friendly here and yayy! Free internet access!

Tomorrow Tiff leaves for Canada and it's Ariane and I. We are trying to plan things a little better so that our next cities we will know how to use public transit to get to our accomodations and save some money.
