Well we are here finally , our first day out in the snow, it,s Christmas eve cold - 21 degrees our local area is Sodankyla we are well dressed and prepared for it, We accidentally sleep in as its hard to tell the time !!!. So race to get ready , layer upon layer !!!off we go trudging through the snow!! . We grab a quick breakfast and out onto our sleigh dragged by a snow mobile to visit Santa's house , after a bumpy fun and bouncy ride, I'm having hat issues and can't see too much bloody difficult I work out I need to make my head bigger so wrap my scarf , balaclava etc around my head and on goes the fur hat , voila I can see!! Hello SAnta, we find his house go inside, look around but all is as quiet as a mouse, a lovely tree, a sleigh bed made of wood with hand carved swans at the ends, and finally his giant chair , while he's not there we grab the chance to sit in it and take a photo yay. We gently stroll back to our group and warm up around the open fire, and a warm drink of fruit wine with a dash of Vodka, yum back into the sleigh whoosh! we spot some reindeer by the track but we are moving too fast to grab a pic, hat stays in place hurrah! Back for lunch hot gooie stuff with warm fruit and hot sausage rolls goody. We are heading back for a nap and then we are back for Christmas Eve dinner, tomorrow we move into our glass igloo still praying for the Aurora !!!
