My luck may be bad here in Kos, lets not forget to mention the record breaking 6 visits to the hospital in 2 months, but I think that I have made up for it through the people and experiences. I have met the amazing people from all around the world here in Kos (mostly European). I now have contacts in every country that I plan to visit, and more. Yesterday, I went to the island right next to Kos. It is called Kalimnos. I met up with some friends that I met at my work in Nova Vita. They let me use their gear and we went mountain climbing. It was an amazing adventure! Yesterday made me realize that I do not want to leave these Greek islands, but I must move onwards to other exciting adventures. I will miss walking down the road and knowing each person that passes by. I will miss being the popular "Jane" from Tarzan's beach, and the Kamaki from Nova Vita. I will never forget my friends from Blues Brothers, Bar Street, Tarzans, Mamari, and all the tourists/travelers that I have met! These two months have been a blur. It has gone by so quickly. I think the drinking helped pass the time. There have been times that I didn't think that I could make it through the day when I was working both jobs (9 am untill 3-5 am). There were also times where I have never been so relaxed just soaking up the sun on the beach or swimming in the crystal blue waters of these islands. When it rains here in Greece, it pours....it reminds me of the storms in Florida. This will be my last day in Greece, and the first and last Greek rain. I cant believe that I have been here for 2 months without any rain. The locals say that there hasn't been any rain for 8 months! It is thundering and lightning here, and let me tell you, THE THUNDER IS SOOO LOUD!!! As a traveler, I can never plan the next step. I bend in whichever way the wind blows and hope that the next destination is exciting as the last.
