Today we woke up quite early to go and see a wine tour at Castello Di Amorosa. Today was all about exploring Napa. First on our drive we went to the local shops and supermarkets. After that we went to a lake called Lake Hennessy. It was so beautiful. After we had walked along the lakeside we packed up the car and went to visit Frogs Leap . It was a lovely wine company and they grew, strawberries, grapes , onions, oranges, apples, rhubarb and potatoes. It was so so so pretty. Next we went to Yountville. We went to have lunch, it was really delicious. After all that it was finally time to go to to Castello Di Amorosa. It was so magnifisent as it was a Medieval Castle. It was dead cool. We were grouped up with our tour guide and group. We were lead into a Chapel. It had Tuscan paintings all over the walls. Next we were taken out to a courtyard. It was very spacious and peaceful. After we were taken into a large dining room. It had two thrones and lots of chairs. It was very cool. We were taken to
were the magic happens. The fermentation room. We were shown all the tanks and the mixing going on. Next we all got really excited to be going to the Torture Chamber. There was Flairs, Maces and lots of axes. Then we went down to the real torture room. We saw the Rack. Then a real old torture device was revealed to us. A Tuscan device with spikes inside and fire beneath. A victim was placed into the container and the door was shut. The spikes stuck into their skin and fire was put on. They were roasted while having the pain of spikes stuck into their skin. Next we were taken down into the wine cellars to see barrels of wine. Then we were taken to barrel tasting were the adults tasted the wine out of the barrels. After we were taken to bottle tasting and adults tasted all the wines. Then it was time to leave.I enjoyed the tour and would like to do another wine tour again.
