Today has been a brilliant day, went on a safari tour in a battered old jeep. Met a few nice, loud, friendly Aussies that were on the same tour and a slightly quieter Russian. Started off by stroking a massive tiger! Got photos taken with it, so I'll put some of them on here. Then got to ride an elephant! That was cool, something to stroke off the bucket list! Again got lots of photos. Watched a few shows; elephant, monkey an crocodile. Elephant was by far the best, I sat on a rearing elephant and Karis got a fine back massage! Spent a while trekking through a jungle and up some serious steep hills to get to a waterfall - amazing view!
Got taken to see a mummified monk and 'magic garden' afore we got an amazing denner at the restaurant at the viewpoint right at the top of the park. Food was all brilliant too. The jeep we were in was a peerie bit past it and took several attempts (occasionally hillstarts) afore it would run, then when it did get going didna have enough power to get up the hills and had to be given a bit of a push from the jeep behind wis! Me and Karis experienced all this sitting on a bench on top of it!
Ended the day we a swim in the sea. Managed to stay in for about an hour without getting even slightly cold :)
After a massive meal at denner time we weren't that hungry so bought half a pineapple each from a street stall for 20 baht (about 40p) for tea. It was so good, we decided this is going to be wir breakfast every day for the rest of the time we stay here. Canna really beat it :)
