Arrived in Melbourne yesterday to a distinct drop in temperature but also lower humidity level which was a relief! Met at the airport by Tom and his friend from Sittingbourne, Mark, who is over at the mo. Tom had hired a large people carrier for the day and 6 of us, including Tom's friend Laura, (originally from Sittingbourne but now living in Sydney) set off for the Mornington Peninsula. Now before today, the concept of horse riding and wine tasting as a combined activity had not occurred to me but that's what we did. As Neither David or Mark had ever sat on a horse before it must have been the wine tasting element that spurred them on. (See the pun there). We set off in a line of 12 with experienced riders at the lead and rear walking and then trotting along bridle tracks to stop at two wine tasting places. A surreal yet enjoyable experience. Tom then drove us to the Peninsula Hot Springs where we sat in rock pools at temperatures ranging from 41c to 36c. Naturally occuring mineral waters bubble up from the ground and channelled into purpose made pools where people can sit and relax. www.peninsulahotsprings.com

Laura It was a great day! I'll have to think of something imaginative for Sydney.
Hannah So dad got on the horse then!?? I can't tell by the attached picture so you'll have to add some more as evidence x x
Anne Yes he is the third from the left with the bare legs. His horse was the most docile. Sorry no other pics but we do have video as evidence!
