Back! We stayed Friday night at eschers. A large building outside of kaufbeuren used for kids camps and events. It looks like a building was added on to a small barn. There were rooms with bunks. It was surrounded by vast empty fields and dense forests. When we arrived on Friday we helped set up tables and decorations. On Saturday we woke up to a large breakfast with pretzels and rolls with toppings like Nutella and jam.. And of course meats and cheeses. We finished setting up the final touches. There was a large patio and driveway with tables decorated with wildflowers we picked in the fields. We got ready and waited for the guests to arrive at 1. Some were dressed in traditional attire with lederhosen and German dresses. At 1 coffee was served followed by hor d'oeuvres like salmon on toast with caviar, meat on a bread stick, and veggie salad etc. lucia made her entrance and her and wolfi greeted everyone. From there we walked about about a mile on a small gravel path led by a live German band up into a hill for the ceremony. There were benches and flowers it was hot and partly cloudy. There was a sermon and then the bridal party gave speeches (all in german). Lucia had a skit for wolfi and wolfi had a heartfelt speech for Lucia. They rode off together on a tandem bike. We had icecream before proceeding back down the hill. When we came back there was refreshments and homemade desserts. The fruit tort was their wedding cake. We sipped beer and sparkling water on the patio and the band played while the guests presented their gifts to the couple. There was a surprise performance by wolfi's mid evil drum band. At 7 we went into the barn where dinner was served. There was salad, bruschetta, veil, roast beef, German pasta with cheese, potatoes, lasagna, and bread. All the guests received gift bags with jam, alcohol, and twizzlers. The dancing began and acts were preformed for the couple. There was juggling, acrobatics, singing, and dancing. Around 10 the cocktail bar opened and the elderly left. There was a cheese buffet and Goulash was served as well. They danced to a lot of English songs and old "disco." We did not stay the night at left around 1am. Lucia said the party usually lasts til 5. There is breakfast and another party tonight.
