First day of the 5th test - Hazel, Ian and Scott head to SCG in search of tickets (unsuccessful); we meet A-Ms old flat mate Andrew in town and between popping in and out of pubs to keep an eye on the cricket, we size up the possibility of some final purchases before we leave Australia (in particular, we have an illusive hunt for ski boots for A-M in preparation for our next tour of duty).

In the late afternoon, we head off on a Sydney moonlight cruise (xmas present courtesy of Kate and Jimmy). Very good food on board as the vessel potters around the harbour, out towards Manly and back, pretty close to some of the places we were walking the day before). The alcohol is unlimited! But we make a poor show on this front.

We catch a ferry back from Circular Quay to McMahons Point on the north side of the harbour and then walk / bus back to the flat. Scott cheats (must have - couldn't all have been skill) at Uno in the evening once all the gang are back at the apartment.
