We spent today driving to Fort Davis – it is about a 7-8 hour drive, and I spent the day catching up on my travel gas bagging, and my story so far. We drove through a number of little towns – some very grey and sad looking. Everything is so spread out, and there are so many fast food restaurants with big signs on tall poles – each one seemingly with its hand up, beckoning the driver the stop for some tasty tacos or fatty fries. It is hard to adjust to driving on the other side of the road – I am constantly wincing and putting my foot down on the break pedal that isn’t there. Many cars have red indicators, so when you are driving at night, it is hard to tell if they are indicating or breaking. America, I finally made it here, and it is like a whole other world.
