Hello everyone! I thought that I would just write a short piece on each of my fellow travellers, so you all know a bit of information about them.

Anita Rajkumar - Age: 22

Anita was born in Wales and has lived in various places throughout her life. She currently lives in Scunthorpe with her Mum, Dad, and her brother Chris and their cat. When I met Anita she was doing a foundation art course and then she completed her degree in Museum and Exhibition Design.

At the moment Anita is working for an exhibition design company in Chester and is finishing in a few weeks to prepare for her travels. Anita has a boyfriend called Edd, she met him on her course.

Rob Oliver Age: 24

Rob comes from Lincolnshire and was born in Boston. He now spends his time between his parent's farm near Skegness and a flat in Lincoln which he shares with James and Naomi. On their farm they have cows and they farm potatoes.

Rob was responsible for showing me one of the largest potatoes I have ever seen in my life, it was nearly as big as some of my handbags and if anyone has seen my handbags they are huge and can fit a kitchen sink in! Rob gave the potato to Anita and she was going to try and grow potatoes off it, so for a long time it lived in one of our cupboard in 4 Prior Street.Anyway, Rob was on the same course as Anita, the foundation art course. After this Rob then went on to study Interior Design. Rob and James have both funded their trip through working many long hours on the farm. Rob has a girlfriend called Becky, who he met on his course.

James OliverAge: 24 J

ames also comes from Lincolnshire and was born in Boston and is the same age as Rob in fact as they are twins. James was also born in Boston surprisingly and lives on the farm with Rob. They have no other siblings. James, was also on the same course as Anita and Rob, foundation art. After, James went on to study fine art. James is going to complete his final year after we get back from the trip. James is currently single.

Naomi Bird Age: 25

Naomi had a dual nationality passport with New Zealand, as her dad comes from there. Naomi studied Museum and Exhibition design with Anita and lived with Anita last year in Lincoln. She now shares her time between the flat she shares with Rob and James and her boyfriend, Mikes, who also lives in Lincoln. Naomi is currently working at the Odeon in Lincoln to fund her travels.

The first person I knew from the above bunch was Anita. I met Anita through Ben my flat mate in the first year living at Park Court, Lincoln. Ben was on the same course as Simon (who also lived in Park Court) and Simon lived with Anita. Then in the second year we all moved into 4 Prior Street together along with Helen and Suzie, which was then our home for the next two years. A year later, Suzie moved out and then Joanne moved in.

I know them all through my dear friend Anita, but have to say a huge thank you to Ben and Simon who brought us together!

I am not sure why we are all friends, as I do not like art in any shape or form. As many of you know I am not very creative and have no artistic flare in the slightest and as many of you know I inherited that gene from my mum! The others have informed me they are taking sketch books with them. They have offered to help me draw, I told them they would be fighting a losing battle trying to teach me to draw as when a pencil is put into my hand, for some reason my hand feels like it is about seize up! I told them I will be quite happy to read, listen to my i pod and ultimately top up my tan!
