We made it to Luang Prabang. 2 days of travel on the slow boat completed.
Our second day of travel on the slow boat was great. We bagged a comfy seat again with leg room due to getting to the boat early. The boat left about 9.30am and travelled down the Mekong taking in some amazing scenery, just beautiful. We arrived at Luang Prabang at about 4.40pm. We immediately, once we got our bags, went to find that all important ATM. Money in hand we hunted for our guest house which I made a reservation for back in Thailand. Thank god for City Maps on the Iphone!!!! What a nice surprise, a lovely room, fantastic bathroom and totally the opposite of our accommodation in Pak Beng! Thank God. Now time to hunt down some food!!!!
