Angela Smith's Travels
Last of the long drives today, heading to Palm Springs through desolate tundra. 107f most of the way. Stopped off to see the Joshua Trees and monozgranite rocks in the National Park. We were able to see the San Andreas Fault line in the valley below Keys View point. Then the drive to Palm Springs took us across an unmaintained road called Berdoo Canyon Road for 5 miles only to become impassable, so we had to turn back and find another more straightforward route. A night swim at a very unconventional hotel in Palm Springs and live music in the bar with cheese quessidilla. A good day!
