Last day, breakfast, swim and drive to Ontario Mills for last minute clothes shopping. Now waiting for the plane to end the holiday and take us back to England. A great holiday and much fun had by all.

Another early start for our second day at Universal Studios. We managed to get on the Transformer ride twice, Jurassic park and the Simpsons again before taking the studio tour for a second time but on the other side of the tram. We then took the metro for a very quick trip to Hollywood boulevard and the stars but didn't stay long. Another swim at the hotel to round off the penultimate day followed by dinner at the hotel.

An early morning trip to Universal Studio and we didn't have to queue for the mummy ride (single riders as too scary for the little Smithettes), the Jurassic park and the Simpsons ride. Did most of park by lunchtime and bac for a swim and happy hour nibbles.

Wow again, just been on a whale watching trip and seen several blue whales very close to the boat. They are huge. Also saw sealions and dolphins (a pod of about 100!) Newport was a really cool place and well worth a longer stop off, but not for us as on route to Universal City in Los Angeles and our final three days of the holiday.

My kind of margarita! Happy anniversary, 14 years married. In the Old Town in San Diego for a celebratory Mexican.
