Today was our last day in Xi'an. The morning activity was a trip around the city wall. The options for travel were cycling, walking or taking an electric buggy. The only way to get round it (approx 8 miles) in the time allowed was by bike and the buggies couldn't do the complete journey because there was some work going on and the space left was only wide enough for cyclists or pedestrians.
Ian and I chose to ride a tandem. Something never done before and neither of us has ever ridden a tandem so there was potential for plenty to go wrong. We both took to it like ducks to water and with Rodney, the three of us took just over an hour with several stops for photo shoots.
It was a brilliant way to see some of the city and the wall is amazing. After that it was time to go for another buffet meal and then to the train station to catch the bullet train to Beijing.
