Angela in China
This morning we visited the Terracotta Warriors. There are three pits in total. Number one is the first and largest pit and even over 40 years on most of the pit is yet to be excavated. The size of the job is staggering. Pit 2 and 3 are much smaller but you actually feel a lot closer to the figures. Every warrior has a different face and even the horses are different sizes. There is a museum showing the story of the excavation and also replicas of the bronze chariots which were stunning. You could buy a replica for £20,000! We had a buffet lunch in the restaurant which was delicious. Then we headed off for the Wild Goose Pagoda.
