HAPPY EASTER
The last three days have been a holiday weekend. Friday started out slow but by noon there were a lot of people at work. The crocodile monitor still didn't go under the wood so I could trap him. I think he knew what I wanted to do.So I drained his pool a totally this time. That night I sleep like a little baby, and just didn't want to get up in the morning. I had to thou.
I started work at 10 and didn't finish till 18.30. Saturday was also a very fun day, lots and lots of people.I also had time to clean some cages, but not the crocodile monitor… I still love him. Okay so we have these gag gifts at work called rattle snakes eggs. It's basically a wader with two elastics bands. Then you wind it up and put it in an envelope with the writing that says rattle snake eggs, caution. Then wait for some person to open it. There was a lady who screamed! It was the funniest thing I've seen all day.At the end of the day (he he, song in my head, R.E.M - it's the end of the world as we know it) okay back to the end of the day, we looked at how much money we made, and Dave said that today we mad half of what we make in the summer.I find intimidating.
Today (Sunday) was pretty laid back, we had a lot of people but we did die out for about an hour, then picked up again, and died out the last hour which was fine we got to finish up some stuff. One bad thing happened today, I started feeding cricket so some of the lizards and frogs, I opened the door to the giant day geckos, Shawn was out with Brittany at that point right on the other side of the glass, now when you open their door you have to be super carful cause they are sneaky little things. I open just a crack and look, Shawn point at the bottom that there in one, I shut the door, and get myself ready to put it away as soon as I open the door, but this little one is smarter than that. He was ready to get out as soon as I opened the door, resulting that he did get out. CRAP! Well he was very smart and got himself in a tight hole. I asked Shawn to help me so I won't hurt him. Shawn got Dave to help, they had to unscrew the wood to get him out, and it took about 15 minutes. They both said it was okay, better then the time four got out. I then finished feeding. We then feed the coastal carpet python, they have two, one of them is still pretty new, and has never eaten a rat before; it was on a mice diet. So we tried getting it to eat a rat, it wasn't too happy about that. And that's how I finished my day. It was a nice long day at work. People today were okay, we had this one lady in yesterday we wanted to argue with me, and kept saying that bring out a snake for people to hold is stupid and we should be closed down by the police for animal abuse. I talked to her for a little while and when she said that I told her I had better things to do and left. She didn't pay to get in she was just waiting while her kids went it, so wft right. And today a woman came in saying it smelt really bad, I asked her if she was scared of snakes, of course she said yes, and I told her that some people say it smells bad because they think it does. And the more your scared of them the worse it smells… she them thought for a second and said sorry. Shawn says you get those types of people in all the time. Well that's it for today.
Love you all
