Arrived on the sleeper this morning in Chiang Mai, was big relief to get out on Bangkok. This place is so much nicer it's unbeleivable, you can actually breathe (relatively) fresh air, it has trees, and restaurants!! Everything still as cheap, so living well on very low budget which is always good. Booked ourselves onto a 3 day/2 night trek into the jungle, leaving on Tuesday-we'll be staying with villagers in the jungle, riding elephants and bamboo and white water rafting-can't wait! The 3-4hr hikes each day in 32C heat is a minor detail... Think tomorrow we're going to a hill side temple with 300 steps to climb, hopefully won't tire us out too much before we go on the trek.
