After an 11.5hr flight we are now in sunny (well, pretty grey today, hence the blog writing) Rio. Flew into the city in the night as the street lights sparkled underneath. We found out yesterday that this is down to the ridiculously overloaded electrics in the Favelas, which sort of took the shine off it.

Massive thanks to everyone who came down to Bridgend on Saturday night and the Oystercatcher last night to see us off. You'll all be missed and will no doubt receive extravagant gifts when we get home at Christmas time (disclaimer - Sarah may have to pay for these so probably best to direct any present requests to her. She's very generous with presents so go nuts!).

Hi Mate, Hope you are both well & you had a great birthday. Things ok this end & we are finally having a bit of summer, don't know how long it will last though. I'm off to West Wales next week for a few days to re-charge my batteries as work been rather hectic over the last few weeks.
