this is my 1st ever blog entry so if its a lil bit sketchy you know why
after arriving in Tokyo on 17/06 i spent 5 nights in Kuramai(suburb). initially just by sitting on the train from the airport i learnt that the older generation seem a little unkeen on the westerners who visit Japan(this is very evident in Kyoto)....probs cus their still sore at the good old yanks for bombing them but hey i couldnt stop it right. Anyways besides the odd look the people of this country are so respectful and helpful i cant put it into words how i feel for their kindhearteness....the best example to give is on my first day i got lost in Akihabra(the big electronic district), well a friend who i was with approached a girl who spoke like no english at all.....after figuring out where we wanted to go she approached the information desk to ask for help then came back to ourselves and took the same train as us to guide us then she made her own way back......UNBELIEVABLE. After checking out most of the sites to name a few-Shibuyu、Ginza, Imperial Palace and what not id gladly sit outside the hostel which was i must say a cool joint and whatch people pass by as i talk to fellow travellers while taking in a lovely smoke of a menthol cig. Anyways after exploring round Tokyo with a Korean girl from America i headed down to Kyoto which as i walked down the main high street realised this was not gona be as thrilling as Tokyo, well today my 1st full day i already made the conscious decision to head back up to Tokyo after biking for a day and heading down to Hiroshima-it does have a weird aura surrounding the bombing-a feeling of guilt possibly but something i couldnt put my finger on. nehows gona go nab a curry if a restraunts open then head off to see some nightlife in kyoto.
speaking of which karaoke is freakin awesome here but thats another story
stay safe
