Left Queenstown to tour the bottom part of the south island starting with Milford Sounds. I was not sure quite what to expect as i had heard mixed reviews of milford ranging from awesome to a waste of time. Personally i thought it was spectacular, really beautiful altho we did luck out with an amazing sunny day and no sandflys. It took my breath away and has been the highlight of my trip so far...
The next day we went to Tuatapere which was pretty average altho the next morning we did a sheep farm tour, i had pretty low expectations but it was actually really good and i got to shear a sheep (well a bit of a sheep) which was pretty unusual!
We went on to Invercargill but a tyre blew on our bus and we ended up changing it! May not sound that impressive but try it yourself (hell of a lot harder than a car!) and you'll realise that it was a pretty good effort. We then went to Stewart Island for 3 nights which was cool, good place to chill out and do a few easy walks. Weather wasnt great but decent enough.
Headed back to Invercargill to find our bus was full so we had to spend another day in invercargill, there is nothing to do in this town so i went to the cinema to kill time. Have been in Dunedin for the last 2 days which is meant to be based on edinburgh but s nothing like edinbugh. Did the speights brewery tour and cadbury's chocolate factory tours which were all good and i head back to queenstown tomorrow.
