Monday 17th September.
Song of the day
Our final full day on camp, sadly - and we decided to follow yesterday's pattern with an early start and late finish. About a mile from the camp, down by a brook I spotted a lion in the bush and was named 'top spotter' by Viurginia who named herself 'bottom spotter' as she once pointed out a lion that turned out to be an ostrich! Easy mistake??? (Andy was the best 'bottom spotter' poolside in Zanzibar - but that's another story!). Again saw a wide range of animals - about 30 giraffe's of all ages; horrible vultures tearing apart the remains of a wildebeest discarded by a lion. Final night in the tents was noisy - best not to think if it was because of the lion was close by, but one zebra was baying in a most distressed manner! Cornelius had assured us that the animals didn't come too close, but the droppings between tents etc would suggest otherwise!!!
