After a shakey start (two hours waiting on the plane, with a suspected electrical fault!) we arrived into Bangkok early evening and was greeted by the intense heat and humidity! The taxi ride into the city was an eye opener with hundreds of high rise buildings and enormous billlboards for western brands. After turning down a narrow bumpy side street hotel was a pleasant suprise, clean and modern (only 1 cockroach! - who was successfully defetaed by Andy) Luckily for Bex, opposite our hotel there was an organic vegetarian restaurant, where we had lovely thai curry and tom yum soup.
