If you go out in the woods today, you better go in disguise...
Hello there eh! Actually nobody in BC really says that. Apparently it's an east coast thing. I'm still just chilling in Van at Elises place she's been off work so were still doing to tourist bit.
Lately it's included lots of hiking. All around Cypress mountain which in a fee months becomes ski town and all the way up, yes up the Grouse Grind. People were warning me away from this one a little. "It's really hard", "your gonna struggle" and so forth. I didn't listen put on my best skate/hiking/going out shoes and charged this thing. Ok so no lying it was hard. Some epic stair case through the forest made of rocks logs and tree roots. It's uneven, slippery and long. Ben layer the challenge of doing it in under 1 hour 20. Ppffttt got it done in 50mins. Mostly because I need at the top I would get a beer :).
Also went out to Harrison. A small town on a nice big lake, famous for having hot springs! Elise drove us out there and we stayed two nights. The only way to experience the hot springs is at the resorts pools as the water is other wise to hot. It was a great place to relax. The highlight though was this little restaurant and it's amazing chef! Holy crap, this prawn dish and fish he did was just amazing. In contrast considering the tip protocol here worst service ever. Lucky for our lazy waitress the chef was on hand to save her.
Busting down to Seattle for a few days now, chill with Ozzie while Elise is back at work. Stay posted for updates
