Today we got up and headed out to a shopping mall. There isn't a great deal you can do here other than shop, however Cate's in charge of the guide book and hasn't let me have a look all day! I managed to find some shoes which is always nice, a bargain of course and we had pizza for lunch (authentic I know but Cate was beginning to experience lizards crawing through walls so I thought I'd better get her a fix).
Tonight we went to a wonderful restaurant called Dynasty which was in one of the big Hotels not far from ours. We had great food and wine and a great time beofre we headed to Felix!
We's spotted Felix in the guide book and read that it had wonderful toilets, with a description like that we had to investigate further. Its a bar in the Peninsula Hotel which is nextdoor to the ymca and the poshest place to stay in Hong Kong. So Cate and I bound into the lift and head up to the 28th floor. The bar was tiny but had panaramic views over Hong Kong Harbour which were spactacular. Unfortunately the guide book didn't say that a bottle of beer was £9. We ended up staying for a couple as we wanted to use the toilets. Cate went first and managed to get lost, couldn't find the cubicles and had to be shown! Turned out the doors were floor to ceiling and made of granite! Pretty impressive!
My turn, went in and found the designer granite urinals first time. As you did your business you could look over Kowloon through floor to ceiling windows. Amazing, I was impressed. Even the towles they give you to dry your hands were like table cloth. Probably my first 10/10 toilets! Wanted to take a picture but thought better of it!
