Hey guys! Today we went into London to go site seeing! We first got off the tube at Westminster to see Big Ben. We got some really good photos of the London eye (ill be going on the eye soon!) and Big Ben. There seemed to be a fun run on and some of the streets where closed witch stopped us going on a open topped double decker bus tour around London :(. So we decided to go to the Tower of London :D. We took a tour around the Tower of London with a Yeoman of the Tower (the guards of the tower) the Tower of London was built by William the conquer for safety for himself from English peasants. in the later century's it would be known as one of the most infamous Prison,Fortress and Palace in the world. The Tower of London was very famous site
of execution. The prisoner would be marched (or dragged) up to tower hill, where thousands of people would watch the victim get their head cut off. When the execution was done the head was placed on a spike and paraded around the streets of London, and finally left on display on a pike on London bridge sending a message to anyone entering the city. They would boil the head in salt water to stop the crows and ravens from picking and eating the flesh of the head too quickly. The body was dragged back into the tower and buried beneath a chapel floor with many other victims of the executioner. After the tour we went into the white tower where all the weapons and amour over the century's was kept (it was really awesome!) after over 100 photos of weapons and amour we went to see the "Crown Jewels" They were magnificent! The biggest diamond in the world is in queen Elizabeth the second crown (it is called Cunningham diamond) after that we went to see a display of the old torture chambers. We saw all kinds of evil instruments of torture, which were used on all types of prisoners (men, women and children) I'm glad I was not around during this time!!!!
