The cover shot is looking up at the mountains in Kas at the otogar, that is, the bus station.
Left Kas yesterday afternoon and had a tiring ride to Antalya. Don't have a lot of pics to show for my time in there nor for my time here.
In Kas I went kayaking Sunday and canyoneering Monday. Both were beautiful experiences. I slept well last night. I probably could've used another day in Kas to just kick back. But that's what I'm doing now, in a hotel patio with a lot of tweeting birds.
Although a bank in Istanbul gave me money on my credit card, none here would. So I'm getting my hotels to front me a little money. With a small amount of luck I should have a new card in Ankara in a few days.
Couple things I do like here, aside from what seems to be a sort of friendly, laid back rhythm. Call to prayer. I have no idea what's being sung. But it's nice, five times a day, to have someone broadcasting on a loudspeaker system some sort of little song they're singing. And sometimes there are two mosques singing a sort of back and forth to each other.
And tea. Today, sitting next to the "nostalgic" tram route in a park a tea person came by and offered me a little glass, only five hundred, about twenty cents.
I'm thinking of going to a Hamam for a Turkish bath, which consists of a hot bath, soap massage and peel, cold plunge and relax, and oil massage for about twenty bucks. I wonder if I should shower first. I'll ask someone here at the hotel.
