That was nice. Visited a couple castles, a thatched roof pub, drove down a nice country lane, a relaxing couple of days not doing much of anything. I stayed an extra day here in Carrick with Robert's aunt and uncle, that I'd met at his wedding. So I've changed my itinerary around a bit.
Canceled my rental car for a second time as they convinced me I'd be happier without it. I can see all the places I want by tourist coach. Today I'll get to Galway late afternoon. A day behind my original plans, so I'm going to pass on touring the Dingle peninsula. I think that name is pretty funny. Funnier still is the signs I saw yesterday warning to watch out for the Ha Ha Wall, which looked more like a pit. Mary quipped, 'Ha ha, you fell off the wall'. Neither of them had ever heard of it though. Later I'll look it up.
Tomorrow I'll see Connemara. The day after that The Buren and the Cliffs of Moher. Not sure exactly what they are except they're supposed to be beautiful. Then I'll be off to Limerick to stay with Roberts parents for a couple of days. Then Killarney for a couple of days to see the Ring of Kerry. Then to Dublin for one more night before heading home.
I'm extra happy about coming home as I have someone waiting for me that wasn't there when I left. :-D
Had a funny experience with my iPad a few weeks back that I've been meaning to mention. Opened it up somewhere to work on it his blog and the screen went black when I turned it to portrait orientation. It was fine in landscape mode. I forget who I was with but when I pointed it out to they said it looked fine. Then we figured out it was because I was looking at it through polarized lenses.
