Sitting here on a bus to bath, we will be checking out Bath, Salisbury and Stonehenge today.
Weather has been a little nippy, but still 11 degree days, no rain yet so fingers crossed.
Yesterday we did an Evan Evans Tour of London with my friend Marcus. Tour was great, included all the usual sites such as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge and London Tower. We got to see the crown jewels and finish with a cruise down the Thames.
Two highlights of my day were seeing Alison (an Irish friend) for the first time in a year, easy how friendship falls straight back into place. The other highlight was having a random man come up to me at Buckingham Palace. He opened by asking if my name was Andrew. I think I just about fell in front of a bus in reaction, before realizing it was a high school friend, Rami, who I hadn't seen in 9 years since finishing school.
Our night included a really good pizza dinner with cocktails, a small pub (with a man who really hates Metallica, and a waitress who I named "bag of depression"), and a couple of gay bars which can only b compared to peel (sleazy with cheap drinks) and I don't even know how to compare a gay bar that only has karaoke to anything other than the experience of my ears bleeding!
Anyway, more to see, more to eat, more to drink.
