Me, Pete, Malina and Ingela left Penang early on Monday morning(12/2/07) and headed to KL by bus. In this part of the world travelling by bus is actually quicker then going by train. It is also really cheap our ticket from Penang to KL cost 13 pounds. We stayed in a hostel in Chinatown called Red Dragon which was really cheap and actually quite nice. As we tend to do on our 1st night in a new place Pete and I headed out into the night to see what the city had to offer. We ended up drinking in bars that are overlooked by the twin towers. Not really what 2 people back packing should be doing and it was so expensive we had to stay in the remaining 2 nights. The next day we went to a shopping mall with the 2 Swedish girls and also visited Ikea. At Ikea we had swedish meatballs and tried different swedish snacks, some nice some absolutely horrible!. We also went to the cinema. On Wednesday(14/2/07) we went to visit the twin towers. We were told that the Twin Towers are the tallest buildings in the world. You could not go right to the top as they are office buildings but there is a bridge on the 44th floor where you take the photos from. It is a really impressive building. At night we played pool and Pete whooped me which put me in a bit of a mood!.
