We headed to two markets in the morning. Firstly the Devonport craft market where there were lots of lovely but expensive gifts no one really needs. We bought a $1balloon on a stick for Charlie who was delighted and kept showing it to everyone! Then we drove on to Hobson Ville Point a new area Harry had some across in the course of his work. They had a farmers market on, a very attractive play area based on all the native NZ seeds and a popular cafe in an old office building. Charlie and Harry had a whale of a time running round the play area but it was really cold and windy so I quickly stomped off to the cafe [muttering about all my warm clothes being on a container]. There I finally found a caramel slice that was up to scratch but unfortunately for me Charlie and Harry had now arrived and I had to third it.
We brought Charlie back for her nap and took the opportunity to have a snooze ourselves, I love nap time! When we awoke the weather seemed a little better so we headed to Takapuna beach for a little fresh air. The blustery weather soon brought more rain and we took shelter in Harry's new found regular Friday night venue, Massimo's. They run a happy hour every day between 5 and 7 and so I enjoyed a very nice glass of red for $5... big mistake I soon had all the classic symptoms of a hangover. Ooops!
