Well, did alot of walking again today, walked at least 60 blocks down to 43rd street on Brodway, through times Sq et al again but a different route. Central Park is probably my favourite thing about NYC i think, its just a really cool place and a real oasis in the middle of one of the busiest places in the world. Theres acres of space, trees, resevoirs, lakes and ponds, a zoon, baseball and football pitches, volleyball and lots of park area for general lazing about. And gangs of squirrels that prowl and loiter around the corners, i actually hold onto my wallet when i pass them. I watched one today fighting a pigeon actually. Lateeee night last night, out to about 3am in the pub we tend to go to while here, The Parlour. As usual as soon as we got in I did the needful and headed straight to the jukebox and sorted that out with a bit of Bon Jovi and U2..for most of the night! Barmaid was from Tipperery so that was cool - shes the girl in some of the photos. Played some pool, ate some chips, drank alot of Guinness, ate sum cheeseburgers on the way home - good night!
Reading 1984 by George Orwell, really getting into it. Big Brother is watching etc. Still alot about that Bridge in Minniapolis that collapsed on the news, and also about the monsoon flooding in Nepal which is a bit of a concern. I should avoid most of the worst hit areas when i'm there, but alot of the main roads into the city I know already are closed due to mudslides and avalanches. Its an annual event, but it has steadily been getting alot worse over the last few years.
Muse gig tomorrow in Madison Square Gardens!
P.S. If my spelling is bad in these blog entries is because I dont have time to proof read any of what i'm typing as I'm trying to squeeze all this in in 20mins.
