buying clothes truly is a 'scathing' experience, of course! can't wait til you're just an hours train ride (ish) in southampton! will be so great! I'm very jealous of your sound of the music-esque moments, I'm just sitting trying to write an essay that's in for today, doing none of it though! Ooh forgot to tell you something- you know what effect you said the london air has? It does! Discovered it a few weeks ago! xxxx

The floating bar sounds like a highlight to me!!! Been up to Dad's today with Darren, the house is comig on, it's looking fab, I think they're plastering tomorrow, not the same as you getting plastered on a raft!!!
Stay Safe x

You ate what please please do not send a food parcel. sorry to hear you had camera stolen this is not something to worry about though as it can be replaced. Pherhaps you could get a cheap one to see you through the rest of your holiday. Beaches sound wonderful even if the waves sound a little dangerous.
We are not at all jealous though some of us sailed in a snow blizzard on Sunday. Anne and I went out together, in the space of some 20 mins we had 10 > 15 mm of snow on the fordeck. I had to send Anne up into the rigging with an axe to cut ice from the spars and mast!! She was not keen at first but production of my trusty service revelover had her up there with a fixed smile on her face in a trice.
Hear from you soon your obliging servant

Read your message today (saturday) with utter horror , with a grannie attitude. Please look after yourself with much greater care. Talk about living life on the edge. Please ,Please. Every thing I choose to say will sound very dull. Cliff visited me on Friday , With flowers from Sally. Your Mother is working 7 long nights at work. She looks very tired. I have joined the Vulcan to the sky Club Dementia just over the hill. This was after reading Vulcan 607, utterly riviting.at least to me. I took the enfants to see it fly, I think they were frighted, the noise and air pressure at low level was astonishing. Weather still cold with snow showers So I spend my time Birdwatching. Still love you even though you frighten me to death (almost) As ever your Gran, Margaret.

Leaving must have been really tinged with sadness the kids obviously loved you....me thinks destined to be a children's doctor.
Okay now for the Vietnam....have you ridden an elephant yet? This must be playtime before you go off to Borneo.
Now the sailing news....still mega winds at Derwent and water right up to trees. Had two capsizes shock horror on Sunday. I sailed with Colin Midgley, who didn't quite bear off and we tea bagged, major problems with jib sheets, then rudder and then finally horse tails over back and a dodgey 360 (we've been there before). I took my boat out in afternoon did a nice gybe but Ian decided not to come across to windward side back in the water again! MEN!!! Unfortunately poor Ian had ripped drysuit and looked like he was sinking.....picked up by rescue, but boat now turtle and I'm wishing you were there to stand on my head to get to centreboard! Finally got boat righted but Ian needed to go in as very cold.
It had been quite a day.....Ian had a broken tiller in morning so they had to come in, as did John and Justin ...broken centre main block; Hamish and Dave Leybourne were over; Colin took Roger out in afternoon and had three capsizes, only Butlers and David with Janette did well. David got a first so they were delighted. Maurice, despite Sally being changed didn't go out, said it was pointless as Sally didn't like strong winds, I think he was just being difficult. Colin was telling me he was asking him if he had a crew for the world's!
Hopefully sailing tomorrow not sure who with, I'll just turn up....Reiner rang tonight and wants to sail with me, but I feel as though he's really Hamish's crew.
Dilemmas.........
I can't wait until your back it is just not the same......
By the way Ian Davies was out in his new GP and flying with son Neil, Russell was also there, I of course casually suggested he could be my replacement crew until you got back!
Love as always.....have fun in Saigon

hey sweetie, how are you? this is ultimate revision procrastination, wadeing through your site! can't believe your trousers fell down! im very annoyed, I just got given a hoodie i paid for months ago and i managed to spill coffee all over it before I'd even worn it! i know it doesn't matter, but i don't want to pay £2 for a wash here and rubbing it isn't working, and may be stained by the time i next go home! maybe i should stop beign so stingy. my exams are over june 5th, when are you back? i head to paris at somepoint the week beginning june 23rd, think it's flexible, but if i have to go another 2months without seeing you that would NOT be good! should look up cheap easyjet flights (i didnt say that) for you guys to come to paris at some point! i'll be there til august 28ish. we should all go to fellgate in espt- it has hot water and working showers now! x xxxx

Hi Andrea
Sounds as though you've had a great time in Thailand, careful with table top dancing.......
Latest sailing news......two firsts and a second on Sunday (hardly any boats out) and I sailed with Claire (first time in a GP.... did a training course with me last year).....I'm sailing with Justin this Sunday in preparation for going up to Scotland, so it'll be great having someone at the front end who knows what they are doing. Maurice has been once again causing unrest by sending emails to Council....definitely spitting dummy out once more!
School was closed last week because the boiler broke and we had no heating or hot water....so an extra holiday, although I wasn't too well so I just lounged around, but not EATING....going to loo a lot.......good news am now half a stone lighter.....YES!!!
I will enter us for the World's this weekend.....missing my REAL CREW, Justin's got a lot to live up to this weekend!
Keep safe, have fun.....
Lots of Love

Hi andy pandy. looks like you did not get my emal of 10 days ago (the site wasnted a return email address and the local library do not have one. anyway sorted one out today. I am moving to Guernsey on 27th to take up new job in april, Mouse is coming with me to navigate and help shif stuff, as well as having a few days rest. Obviusly not as exciting for her as your travels but it will get her out of the house. She flies back to NCL on april 1st!
You seem to be enjoying yourself as well as working. When do you go to Vietnam? dont' forget it was a French colony so lots of people will speak french if they do not speak english. Cec & ian have been printing off your blogs & sending them to me, but I cannot seem to access the old ones on site. Have you done any sailing? if not you will be getting rusty.
Must go now lots of packing to do. Take care. Love Dad.
Cliff
Hi Andy
See Annes beaten me to it with the sailing news, howver we brave 8 (4 boats took to the icy Derwent water again today. Blustery north east winds and Elen feeling sea sick did not bode well for me today. I took up the popular sweeping position at the back of the fleet in old boat 10230. Elen is supposed to be helming but decided it was to windy. I will have to hope she is back to health soon.
Have seen all your photos looks if you are have a good time and read your blog tonight. I dont think I will be taking you on at arm wresting Ms Guerro. Next message will address you as Andrea this may help to detract from the male pesrona you are assuming !! Did you hear Alan and Emma are expecting a baby next November, I going to be a gra graaaa Grandad I can hardly get the words out. I am to young for this my street cred is going to take a real dive. But I suppose it will go with the grey hair, lines, crows feet and arthritus. Sally and Chris send their love Cliff XXXX
