Have got to Bangkok. Have found guest house where I am staying for the next four days, looks ok although I can't get in room until 12 noon. It is now 11.10am - 4.10am to you and I'm trying hard to stay awake - hence typing this, having been up since 4am yesterday. Don't know what it is about taxi drivers here but the (first!) one today lead me a merry dance from the airport. I got dropped off not outside where I wanted to go (although no too far away!) I don't have a very good track record with taxi drivers - didn't get on too well with them driving around London either!!! Have found the "backpackers place to be" and it's pretty good, lots of bars and all is well with the world, I've found Burgerking, McDonalds and Starbucks!
