Went to Sydney Zoo yesterday, not sure whether I like zoos or not.? The seal show was great, they always look entusiastic about what they are doing and seem to be enjoying themselves. They were very funny. Spent the rest of the day wandering around looking at cages where there were meant to be animals in but I couldn't see any, most of them seemed totally bored with where they were and what they were doing, or not doing.? The elephants had an outdoor enclosure which was ok but the inside pens were a mass of restraining wires and cages, I was not impressed with that. The bears and lions were asleep, due to lack of interest I think. There was a Tiger who was prowling up and down up and down, viewing was through a large circular glass screen into the enclosure, which are all very nicely done but not a BIG space to live in.? I don't know what he could see from the other side, I guess it was a one way view for us and blank? for him. Felt sorry for him, Mrs tiger was laying majestically on a wooden stage type thing watching him and was probably thinking 'E's off again, Showing off......!!!? I had walked to the ferry which took me to the zoo and couldn't be bothered to get a train when I got back to Circular Quay so walked back again. I have a blister on my foot to prove it.
Of today to see "Grump Old Women" of which I am most certainly one, which is on live here at a theatre, and to pick up some bits and pieces to bring home.? Not too much as I have no room to carry anything.
