Flight on Emirites to Melbourne very goog but have gained another 2 hours on UK time so it seems even more strange. Typed out a page full of stuff and it has just lost it - bloody computer ...... will do it again another time

ok I will try again it's now 3rd Apr - Spent 4 + hours hanging around Melbourne Airport, with a couple of other travellers and some cleaners.  At 7am got a taxi to the dock to catch the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry, which I was booked on for that evening, changed it to a day sailing which confused the computer and got to Devonport at 7.20pm  Journey was very good.  I  managed to grab a couple of cat naps on the way over.  My plan was to take the ferry to Sydney as the next part of my journey but they have sold the boat and do not do that service anymore!!!  So it will be back to Melbourne and get a bus.  Stayed the night in Devonport at a pub called Molly Malones which was good and then got the bus to Hobart, another 4+ hours bus ride.  I find distances difficult to grasp here.  Very like South Aftrica don't look very far on the map but ....... Off to see Port Arthur tomorrow.
