Round the world with ANA!
We apologise again for our lack of contact in the last few months but as you can see from our few photos we haven't really had too much to write home about!!!
We are currently in the middle of the North Island of New Zealand in our new campervan called Talulah, this was due to an unfortunate incident with our original campervan Bruce. Bruce has now been taken off of the road due to a fault too serious to mend and too dangerous for us to continue our adventures with him. We are all very upset about losing Bruce but Talulah appears to be doing just as good a job and she also has the added benefit of brakes and a clutch that works, so its all looking promising for the rest of our journey! We loved the south island but couldnt get over how cold it was! Particularly at night in Bruce where none of us had worn as many layers as we did to bed each night.
In the last couple of months the three of us made our way up the east coast of Australia which was really amazing. Had a great time on Fraser island driving a 4wd around the worlds largest sand island with a group of canadian lads in the back to keep us entertained and an italien who didnt seem to communicate in any language at all. We then continued up to the Whitsundays where we spent 3 nights on "spank me" a maxi sailing yacht. Despite the storm on the first night, we couldnt have asked for better weather. Managed to do a scuba dive, lots of snorkelling, drinking games, sunbathing and being entertained by the 2 reggies and there late night escapes! After this we continued up to Cairns which didnt live up to our expectations with the lagoon being shut and no beach. But we didnt let this get us down so hired a car and went into the jungle where we threw ourselves out of trees attached to giant zip lines.
Fiji explains itself really, it was absolutly amazing. Although it was far from the celebrity love island standard of living we all had a lot of fun, trench digging, volleyball games, hide and seek and hose pipe showers! The locals where so friendly on all of the island and made us feel very welcome with their fijian dances and kava ceremonies!
Next stop...Auckland and then Thailand!!
