Our tuk tuk was already arranged for the afternoon meaning chill time by the pool for the morning. So nice having a pool, time to chill and read but i know its a luxury having it andi shouldnt get used to it. We were heading to the Roluos group today. Another set of temples, 3 in the set and these are the earliests ones. They are not in the main temple park they are in the opposite direction. I couldnt believe how different Cambodia could be from just driving a few km's up the road. I felt like it was a completely different lifestyle.... So much greenery, every house seemed to own a cow, they were built on stilts. I couldnt believe the difference from the town. The templea again were amazing. Its crazy to think they are srilll standing after all this time. I love visiting the temples, they are so interesting. Every carving in the wall, the intricate detail and time it must have taken...amazes me. We had a great driver who waitd paitently for us and greeted us with a smile suggested the floating village . Id heard of it and had been told if i had time to go you should. It wasnt going to cost us to much more to be driven there so thought we would. Upon arrival we're informed its a 2 hour boat trip and $20. Certainly not what i expected but i felt bad as he had driven us so we reluctantly said yes. My gosh it was so worth it! I have never seen anything like it. Rhey live on the river there hours are built on stilts, they have shops and a school all on the river. They wash in it. They have people selling stuff from boats stopingoutside the houses. They literally cant go anywhere without jumping in a boat. They all seem so happy. Thekids were playing in the water. It was unreal. It was amazing to see thats how they survived. We dont need our feet firmly on the ground, we dont need lots of electricity, we could live in the river! En route back and the sun started setting, it was beautiful. The sky looked amazing, stunning colours and even the clouds were amazing i couldnt stop staring at them. It had been so worth paying $20 for!! Yet another beautiful day in Siem reap.
