Hello all…again!!
So we only have 2 months left in Australia!! Can't believe we've been away nearly a year!!Were both looking forward to seeing everyone at home but at the same time we don't want to leave Australia!
So we visited Surfers Paradise and went for lunch at Dave and Karen's (Dad's friends for anyone who doesn't know). There house was gorgeous! Surfers Paradise was ok but nothing spectacular!Least we can say we've been.Just have to go to Byron Bay now if we get the chance. We may go down for a weekend once we've finished work and before we leave for the East Coast.
We are still in Brisbane and due to leave around the 4th August to do our East Coast trip! Really excited about doing that. We have our East Coast trip booked now, this is what were going to be doing:
·We have 4 nights in Noosa.Within that we are going on a 2 day / 1 night Canoe bush camp trip of Noosa Everglades. We have to canoe to our camp which all together is 8 miles! Hahaha should be fun…..
·After Noosa we head to Rainbow Beach where we go to Fraser Island from.We camp on Fraser Island for 2 nights. You do this in groups of 10 and you drive around the Island in a 4x4.
·Next we head to the "Town of 1770" where we stay for 2 nights. Here we are doing a scooteroo tour where you do a tour of the town on choppers (motorbikes!) J
·Next we get a 12hr overnight bus to Airlie Beach. From here we go to the Whitsunday's on a sailing trip for 2 days / 2 nights. We sleep on the boat and go snorkeling, diving etc.
·From here with go to Townsville which is where we go to Magnetic Island for 2 nights.
·Next we get another overnight bus to Cairns. In Cairns we have a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef booked to do some diving and also we have white water rafting on the River Tully booked.
·We also have a 2 day / 1 night trip booked to Cape Tribulation which is just above Cairns and where the Great Barrier Reef meets the Rainforest. You can do Jungle Surfing here which is where your attached to zip lines across the top of the trees.
·Were then back to Cairns where we'll be chilling out!
·Were also going to do a skydive in Cairns as Matt hasn't done one yet and I'd love to do another one.
All this takes around 25 days so we'll be busy bees! I'll be uploading photos along the way so you'll be able to see what we've been doing.
The weather in Brisbane isn't that great at the minute. The sun is usually always out but it gets cold! Especially at night in our ice box of a room.I've never known a room to be so cold all the time! England has been a lot hotter than it is here.It warms up again in August so were looking forward to that.
I've found a chocolate shop in the city which sells English chocolate and crisps! Love it J Although they are so expensive!
I went on a 2 day / 1 night Rainforest trip to Mount Tamborine and Springbrook National Park the weekend just gone.Matt can't book Saturday's off work so I went with a guy I'm seeing called Jaan.I had a great weekend, the photos are on here/facebook for you all to look at!
It's the end of the financial year so tax back time! Should have that within 4 weeks so we cannot wait!We have a few things in mind that we are going to do before we come home but will tell you more when it's booked…… JJust means we'll be home more around the date of when we left! Our flights run out on the 22nd September so we have to come home before/on that date.
We've met a great bunch of friends here at the hostel so it's going to be really sad saying goodbye in August! We've lived in Brisbane longer than we lived in Sydney, we never expected that!
Missing you all and we'll be seeing you soon!
