We've now been in Australia nearly 8 months!! It's gone so fast and won't be long until were home! Were still working and saving in Brisbane.Really liking Brisbane and will be sad to leave.The hostel were staying in which is called, Somewhere to Stay, is really nice.They've just re-furbished the tv room and they now have loads of bean bags which are so comfy! In Sydney our hostel was full of Irish and here it's all German's.Since the last time I wrote all the lads have gone home! They came to stay in Brisbane for a bit before they left which was really nice.James taught be how to cook Red Thai Curry so I cook that once a week! I can actually cook now, yes you will be amazed! Matt doesn't get home until 7pm so I have taken on the role of chef.

We've made quite a few new friends although they all seem to be leaving soon.We met a girl from Lincolnshire and quite a few people from Nottingham!

I had a great birthday.Matt got me a Pandora bracelet which I love with a suitcase charm!Me, Matt, Verity and some others all went out to the Valley which is the main nightclub area which is brilliant and we've found a great club called The Beat!We also went on the Brisbane Wheel (Thanks Verity!) which was actually really good and quite scary!Verity left on my birthday to go home so now it's just me and Matt in a room.We moved to a double room (we couldn't force ourselves back into a 6 bed!) so it's just a room with a bunk bed in.It's a really nice room and we acquiring an ipod docking station/radio as it's very quiet as we have no tv!All we do at the moment is read as we've got the Twilight series and they are great!

We've planned to go Surfers Paradise on the 6th June for 2 nights as we have the 8th June off work for the Queen's Birthday.I find it funny we get the Queen's Birthday off but England doesn't!Were going to meet up with my Dad's friends who live in Surfers' and maybe try some surfing depending on the weather! At the minute there are severe flood warnings in Brisbane as there has been pouring it down for 3 days straight, although the sun has come out today so hopefully that's the end of it!Most the roads have been closed because of the flooding so most people are being sent home from work early.

So at the moment we both have work until the end of July then we are going to be doing the East Coast up to Cairns.Now depending on money (we get all our tax back in July!), were then going to go back to Sydney for a few nights then get our flight to Hong Kong and then either fly to Bali or Thailand for 2/3 weeks.Then back to Hong Kong for a few nights then home!!We haven't got an exact date when were home but will be in September.
