XMAS WEEK!! XMAS WEEK!! XMAS WEEK!!
Nah im not getting excited or anything lol! So its finally here, Christmas is getting closer and closer like, this Thursday is Christmas day!!!!!
‘Have You Got The Hots For The Box With The Dots!????’
Haha! That’s how the week started! It was Dominos intro day! Zane (the fit one) had us shouting it at the top of our voices just inside the shop – weird and very embarrassing yes!! Lol it wasn’t just us though thank the Lord! So yeah, we were shown how to deliver a pizza in the stylish pizza car then that was bout it! We were given uniform and told basically we be scheduled in for after xmas! Result!
Tuesday saw Lisa’s christmas box arrive – mine not here yet but we still got a few days! I was feeling proper rough though today, stonking headache and sickness all day and today of all days was not good timing. Today was when GMTV were at Sydney Harbour Bridge doing there filming of all the English backpackers that are here, so that they can film messages for people at home. Cool hey! Iv never heard of it, but hey something to do! Lol!
We all went down there to get our mush on the box, but it was chucking it down and apparently they kept showing the only clip that they managed to get with the sun shinning – so unfortunately it was not us! Oh well!
Wednesday was unofficially our Christmas day! All of us in the flat had organised for 16 of us to have a Christmas meal together! Yes – not forgetting the turkey/chicken and all the trimmings! We done all of it! We had pate on toast or prawn cocktail for starters, then we had 2 meats, loads of veg, roast and mashed potatoes, gravy and more importantly; Yorkshire pudding! It was awesome! It was even better that we managed to get 16 of us in our tiny little flat!
Everyone brought there own booze and then we all put in like $10 each for the meal – exactly what we needed! In our groups too we had done secret Santa’s so we had presents to open up too – oh it is one Christmas Eve that I won’t forget in a while!
After the meal and the drinking games which included pin the tail on the donkey, Katie, Charmaine, Lisa and me were left to finish off the games then we headed for one of the best parts of Christmas – Midnight Mass! Really special this year as we were heading to St Mary’s Cathedral! Mum you would have loved it!!
Charmaine and Katie weren’t looking forward to it as much as we were, this for me is one massive part of Christmas. Back home it is always the chance to see faces that you haven’t seen literally the whole year, and going to the church with mum and normally Tina (with one exception of Kate last year after a trip to the pub for the whole day before hand!) and sing to all the classic christmas hymns!
Well, ill start with the church, sorry; the Cathedral! It was all lit up, outside and in. it had a huge nativity set up outside, and it was heaving with people already – we were early too. So many different nationalities and ages it was wicked! The church was that packed with people that we had to sit on the floor!! It was also filmed and projected around on TV screens. It was going to be a huge ceremony!
We found our spot and then the hymns started! It was wicked, such a nice atmosphere! Sad I know but it started me and Lisa crying haha! Oh well, it touched us that’s all, plus don’t forget, we are on the other side of the world to our family on Christmas day! Not nice!
Anyway – the ceremony was ace, and then that was it, it was officially Christmas day! People were smiling, wishing Merry Christmas to everybody who they walked past! The weird thing though, very different to home was that outside the church, there was an ice cream van!! Haha yeah figure that out!
Back home to bed, after a quick chat to home just in case we are too drunk tomorrow to wish them Merry Christmas!! A little bit too excited to sleep!
