right well here i bloody am!

landed on sat morning to be greeted by my first real life australian called... BRUCE! many smiles happened after that! ha!

alex met me at the airport and did what every good tour guide should do and took me straight to a pub for some aussie beer! what a man! i keep telling him off tho cos he's picked a slight aussie twang to his yorkshire accent! it's so cute! i dont think that'll happen to me... i've already been asked to repeat myself when asking for a 'coke' in a cafe today! deary me!

had an awesome time in singapore airport with an irish guy i met... in an irish bar! spent 4 hours getting very drunk which then led to me sleeping all the way to brissy! ha! god bless the irish!

so yeah, alex and i wandered down the south bank last night and had some dinner. that place is great! everything's so pretty and green and clean and has lovely lighting... yes i'm talking about lighting... it's not like they've just built something for the sake of building it and then done it cheaply and made it look crap... everything here is just pretty and it just makes you wonder where england went wrong!

i'm gonna have to start planning next week! i'm going in search of real sand and real sea! brisbane has a man-made beach next to the river up on the south bank - it's so cool but alas it's not quite right!

i'm not quite sure what's happening for new year just yet but it seems the city have massive parties and stuff which could turn out to be quite messy for a naive little amy like me! hahah!

right well... i dont think i have anything else to tell you jus yet seeing as i've only been here for 2 days! thankfully the jet lag has gone! alex was impressed by the fact that i lasted til 11pm last night but that was it! i was dead to the world til 9am!
