Hi All,

Well I managed to make it to Canada all by myself. I would recommend Air Transat who I flew with as I had a free main meal and snack later on in the flight and they came down with the trolly three times and you could have any soft drink free and then through the flight they brought water incase anybody was thirsty.I got to catch up on a Big Bang theory that I had never seen before which is unusual in itself and watch the new Sherlock Holmes film. I also didnt have anyone sat next to me so I had a lot of space so all in all a good flight.

Even before I got on the flight I was allowed to take on my handluggae and my handbag instead of just one bag which meant I was not over weight as my handbag wasnt weighted thank goodness! And the rucksacks went on seperately to the suitcases so it was kept nice and safe through the flight and got to me in the same state as I put in on with.

Getting my working visa was a different matter though and it took border control speaking to Nyquest to even give me the working visa through the exemption of charitable worker and even then I dont think she was happy about it.

When I was dropped off by the bus I dont know whether it was my bad directional skills or the bus driver telling me the wrong way (this once I think it was actually the driver) But I did a nice little walk around the block or two to find my hostel so when I did I just got into bed and collapsed.

The next day I was awake early and headed for the water, which seemed a safe bet for me as it was in a straight line so I couldnt really go wrong, and I actually didnt. I made it to the harbour and spent a good few hours just reading and watching the world go by. However what I didnt realise was just how hot it was and I am now burnt in wierd stripes as I must have got burnt whilst sat down. As I didnt have sun tan cream on due to not knowing where it was packed in my rucksack - note to self pack that at the top next time. Also note to self/mum - when putting things in small bottles put a label on as I am not sure whether I am cleansing the sunburn on moisturising it as I dont know what is in each bottle!

Just waiting for my orientation then I will be going to camp for 2ish today and then the actual work begins....
