This afternoon we went on a hostel organised tour on a ferry across to Levi`s. It`s a small town that isn`t actually part of Quebec City. It was not as pretty as Quebec City and from what we saw not that exciting either! We went to their `famous` chocolate shop first where of course I had to treat myself to a little something! :) Then we had a guided tour around Maison Alphonse-Desjardins, who was the guy that set up the first savings and credit cooperative in America. Personally I didn`t find the tour that interesting- we din`t get told a great deal about this guy so even now I`m not quite sure exactly what the whole thing was all about! The tour was mainly us being shown his original kitchen, living room, office and dining room. At least it was free and the ferry was only 6 dollars return. It wasn`t a complete waste of a day though as the walk down to the ferry port and back was absolutely beautiful- quaint little streets all decorated with christmas trees and lights- it was lovely, both by day and in the evening. Also we met some really nice people who were on the tour too was it wasn`t all bad.
